Proactive Approach

With the continually evolving concerns about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Vollrath is taking comprehensive proactive measures to ensure the health and safety of our employees, clients, freight carriers and community as well as maintain business continuity.

We take our responsibility very seriously as a manufacturer of equipment and tools that are widely used for preparation and serving of food in restaurants and hotels, but right now more importantly in other industries that are essential to the public like healthcare, government, military and correctional facilities.

We are closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) and are closely following their recommendations to keep our employees and business partners safe.

Business Operations

Executive Order in Wisconsin

Vollrath continues to operate as an “Essential Business” under the Safer at Home Order issued by Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers. Our Wisconsin facilities, which include most of our manufacturing locations and our main distribution center, remain open and prepared to fulfill orders during this critical time period.

Executive Order in Minnesota

Vollrath, including our subsidiary ACS Fab, has been designated as an “Essential Business” in “Emergency Executive Order 20-20” issued by Tim Walz, Gov. of the State of Minnesota, and thus our Newport facility is allowed to continue to operate and prepared to fulfill orders.

Executive Order in New York

Vollrath’s Canandaigua facility has reopened, with restrictions, after receiving additional guidance regarding New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s “New York on PAUSE” executive order. We are proceeding with projects for end uses that are deemed “Essential,” but will not resume work on projects for "Non-essential” end uses. We will continue to operate under these restrictions until the order or state guidance changes. The Customer Service team is working closely with impacted customers. We will continue to utilize work from home procedures where possible and have enacted all suggested safety precautions to provide the safest production environment possible.

Vollrath Manufacturing Services (VMS)

Pujadas

Vollrath’s Pujadas facility in Spain is temporarily closed. During this time, orders will continue to ship, and new orders can still be placed. The Customer Service team is working closely with impacted customers.

Personnel

Vollrath continues to observe the recommendations that are in place, including having employees work and conduct meetings remotely when possible, prohibiting all non-essential business travel and encouraging people to stay at home if they feel unwell.
